McColm, the C-17 is way too heavy and large for a carrier.

Great job,
I read somewhere that a C-130 carried out trials on a US Navy carrier and that the Lockheed P-2 Neptune was launched from a carrier.
A Canberra B2 made an emegency landing on a US carrier back in the 1960s and also during the Gulf War although this "cannot be confirmed or denied" by the M.O.D.

Interesting.  Where is either claim made?

The report of the Canberra landing on an US Navy aircraft carrier was told to me in the junior ranks mess at RAF Waddington in 1990.
During November 1990 surplus Canberra B2s were flown by civies whislt the PR9s were made ready for the Gulf War.
A young corporal managed to get a flight in a canberra, they would have made back to base if they weren't jumped by a couple of F-14s and a forced landing was made.
The officers boasted about this and so he hit one of them, hence no promption to sergeant.
The aircraft was repaired and refueled. They made it back to base.
Ten years later the older corporal was recalled for duty and he was reunited with the same plane, only this time he got to fly it.

Total fantasy, your leg was well and truly pulled.

Captain Canada

She's a beauty alright. I love the different a/c on the deck, and the varied paint schemes. The Sea kings tucked in by the island is a nice touch as well.
