HMS Nels-ol

Having just read on wikipedia about the Nelson class ressembling RN oilers has given me an inspiration.

Does anyone know if it was a particular class it ressembled or just a general ressemblance

I did some further searching on Wikipedia, and have determined that during the 1930s the RN ordered a class of tankers which were known as the "Ol class".  Apparently all of the ships carried names beginning with "Ol" as in Olna, Olwen, Oleander, et al.  The problem is, these names were all subsequently used for another class of RFA oilers which entered service during the 1960s.  Curse them for re-using names so often!

I think it was more of a general resemblanc based on the fact that Nelson and Rodney had all thier superstructure very far aft, and were fairly flat infront of that (apart from turrets obviously), similar to the oilers of the era.
