A Russian photographer has photoshopped old WWII photos together with carefully taken modern ones from the same viewpoint. I think the results are rather moving: "here on these streets...."etc.... Anyway, see what you think:

Fantastic idea and handiwork! :bow:

The last one's the Powder Gate in Prague, I think. Was there for a day some 12 years ago, but I think there's a model shop very close to that gate. :lol:

That is amazing work and very haunting at the same time. I can see why it's titled the way it is.

Glad somebody appreciates it: some folk were rather dismissive on the site where it was originally posted... :rolleyes:

I think the two with anti-tank gun teams on the street are the ones that spoke to me. As you walk down this street wondering what to have for lunch, you're walking through the space where your ancestors crouched wondering if they'd see tomorrow or not......
