I'm usually really slow at kit building but I'll give it a go with a 1/72nd Revell Me262A. Haven't a clue whose colours it will be in though.
Started painting parts on the sprue this morning (Sat 17th) and sticking bits together about half an hour ago.

First couple of coats of paint are on but a bit patchy so no pics till I get more paint on. RLM65 undersides with RLM83 top side and some yellow bits here and there so far. Based (very) loosely on a diecast MiG 3 scheme and using Bf109 decals.

More progress pics. Landing gear fitted and I realized I'd forgitten the nose weight!  :banghead:

Some assistance rendered by next doors cat!

Currently has all major national markings decals on but no stencils yet. Should finish Saturday afternoon if nothing gets in the way.

Had a bit of a disaster with Games Workshops rattle can matt varnish again. Some areas of the paintwork have gone a dusty white and I've no idea why! Should be some pics later tonight once I've trawled through the hundred or so that I took.

Edit:-
Here's a few pics from before the final paint tweaks like wing tip lights, tidying any splodges and minus it's drop tanks. Canopy is just sat on it not glued. I'd heard the canopy was bad but if I'd known how totally crap the Revell part is I would have bought a vacform replacement!
Nose on, can you tell what it is yet?

Good looking colours - shame about the varnish though. How many people are having trouble with rattle cans at the moment? Do you think it's something to do with eco-friendly proellants?

Cheers Weaver.   I don't understand this GW varnish problem. The stuff even tried to eat their own paints on the Icelandic F/A-18F I did. Who makes varnish that eats the paints it's designed for!?!

Here's a pic showing the major damage.

Almost looks like it's had an engine fire!
