So are you planning a Me209 with a fuselage underslung single engine in the front?

Or are you talking about a Me 109 with a BMW 009 mounted above the fuselage behind the cockpit - similar to the He 162?  The 109 would need a butterfly tail - this is one of the conversions I have in mind.  It would theoretically combine a proven airframe with the new generation of jet engine - you would probably have to do something with the wings to maintain the centre of gravity.

Me 209A (Huma kit) with the engine under the nose, Yak 15 style.  IIRC, the wing was moved on the Me 209A anyway. Not sure by how much, although 4 inches seems familiar.
