Did you see the biggest 1/72 model on the planet?

They have a model of the R100 airship slung up in the roof of of the Barnes Wallace Collection hut, above a 1/72 scale Wellington as a comparsion. As the real R100 was 720 ft long the model is 10 FEET long! Awesome.

For some bizarre reason they won't let you take piccies in there, and yet they don't sell any themselves...........  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Hi Kit
Part of the museum has gone all modern interactive and the R100 is now in a big case in the Pioneers of Flight hut, the same place as the Upkeep bomb.
