Anti-Whaling F-105 Idea

Hey Guys, a Thought just Struck Me! What If an Anti-Whaling Group got a Few F-105's and Used Them to Protect the Whales? Think this would Work for the Whale wars Scenario? What Model of the 105 would Work & Would the Anti-Whaling group also Use the Wild Weasel F-105 to Stop the whalers?  What say You? Thanks for looking.Dan

I'd say twin-stick Thuds of various versions would be the go, especially if they were trolling over the Antarctic Ocean.  I'd go with a tricked up -105F with Harpoons, etc if you were getting nasty.  Weasel Thuds would be of limited use, unless the Whalers were getting serious with AA assets, unless you were using their radars & ARMs to hit the radar systems of the ships.  That would require a redo of their programming I should think as the radar signals of a ship's radar would I assume be different to a SAM radar.

I think that you'd be better off with the F105 or any other strike type configured for maritime strike, that way it's almost guaranteed that the whaling ships would be sunk. It does bring to mind some interesting, and scary, scenarios though.
