Dude I like this! I have a 1:48 Hawk S6B which is now without floats - they fell off - perhaps I should do a sister of this machine? I remember when this post was first, um, posted, and thinking how gorgeous she was. Those marks are PERFECT on the Six! C'est magnifique!

I made an S6B derivative, too, a while back (too tempting NOT to!) and likewise called it a "Swallow". The backstory is longer, but suffice to say that the Channel Islands were defended by a lone fighter with a single 20mm gun set between the cylinder banks. The plane was painted as the islands seen from the air, and had the most famous regional product as part of its markings--"Look out for the cows":
