What's the most expensive kit you've bought?

Jon's mention of car kits reminds me I spent a VAST fortune on a resin copy of the AMT Lotus 56 Indy Turbine car, I think it was $75 from a shop in Minneapolis. Needless to say about 3 years later the original kit was re-released, and that included the little tow tug too!

At least now I can build an Indy 56 and an F1 56B though.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Ever heard of  Aoshima? They make expensive kits, mostly Japanese ships, cars, si-fi and the occassional plane.

Hmmm, mine is mostly a toss-up between:

1/700 JAG Stealth Carrier (But well, well worth it!!!) http://www.jagcollective.com/STEALTH.htm
1/128 Moebius Models USS Seaview (Again, well worth it) http://www.moebiusmodels.com/seaview_Model_Kit.php

Or...

My mint in box Aurora Ragnorok.  http://www.inpayne.com/models/ragnarok1.html (not mine, but very nicely built.)
