creating this ugly yet compelling plane, using a 1/144 Airfix Boeing Clipper fuselage, and a Lindberg 1/48 F-86D
Wonderful! Thanks! :thumbsup: :bow:

I used many stencil decals from a Revell Germany F-86, the roundels, nose art etc were from my trusty Lexmark cheapola inkjet printer, using Testors decal paper.
<snip>

Alvis, for those of us just about to try making whif decals for the 1st time, could you describe your (very successful) system in a bit more detail ?

to swap out the cod for the kangaroo - photo shop? MS Paint ?
to get the white background in the roundel, seperate decal / paint ? or printed on white & carefully cut ?
to get the red letteriing to look so opaque, two layers ?
any other hints or tips ?
cheers

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
