Give it the B-26K/A-26A treatment for use in the late 1960's:

Square up all the wing and tail tips, cloth skins replaced with metal, enlarge prop with squared off tips.
Underwing ~100 lb daisy cutters---whether they existed in real life or not----
SEA Green 102/Green 79/ Tan 219 over black

Hoping to get it done by summer.

What about a monoplane development?  On top of that, a single-seat fighter development?
To the individual soldiers, *everything* is a frontal assault!

Let's see--take a "Pete" Mitsubishi biplane, make it a monoplane, and a fighter---AHA! You have a "Zeke"!! ;D
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Well the Zero didn't really strike me as being that smooth......  ;D

Or should I just stick with the Kyofu for a good floatplane fighter?
