I've configured the poll so that members can make 2 votes: One vote to decide on the bow end options, and the other vote to decide on the aft end options. If you make a mistake, then you can edit your vote.

So the topic is: I'm fairly certain I like the look for the bow (front) end of my Habakkuk. But when it comes to the aft (stern) end of the Habakkuk, I just don't seem to like it that much anymore.  >:( The only reason I made it a "boat deck" was because I completely forgot to make cutouts along the sides of the hull/flightdeck where the boats would normally go. I don't want to change the aft end with only about 1-2 months to go before some contests, but I just don't seem to like the appearance of the aft end anymore and was wondering if I should change it. If I add or delete anything to the bow or aft ends, then what would everybody suggest?

Aft (back) end of Habakkuk:

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

I voted for another option:-

The bows are fine but mod the stern - Extend the flight deck over it.

I think thats why it doesn't feel right, as that area generally is covered by the flight deck in all contemporary carriers

Only 1 person has replied to this thread? I see people are voting, but it's hard for me to gauge what people think/want unless they post replies too.

I agree with Thorvic.  The bow looks fine, but the aft ends up looking oddly pinched.  I think if the flightdeck were extended in the aft, you'd also get some directional symmetry.

OK I have voted and my view point is that the a8se end, sorry STERN, looks too much like the bow/front.
I like the idea of puting the flight deck out over the rear end.
BUT, who knows what they would have done in WW2 ?

SD go with what you want, I think it looks fantastic.

I've only just seen this thread.  I think it looks fine as is, although my thought is that I wouldn't like to be one of those stern gunners if an aircraft came in too low!  If you choose to change, I'd go with the comments above & fill in the stern.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

seadude,

I echo Mossie's views above. I think it looks great so voted to leave unchanged. However if you want to change something extending the flightdeck at the stern is an idea.
