Could it be possible to build a fully armed Hornet ... controlled from the base/carrier???
In my opinion, British, Canadian, or USAF markings make things look so much better...

I think he means turn it into a UCAV.  Not sure about the Hornet, but there's been speculation that the last batches of F-35's might be unmanned.

Didn't they just (couple o' months ago) successfully trial a hands-off carrier landing system? Then you could even recover them on a carrier.

Think I read something in that direction in AFM quite a while ago. IIIRC, the funding has been approved already. Sizeable sum.
