JHM, those two are pure magic!  :thumbsup:

Really love the delta F-86, got that 'If it looks right it'll fly right' thing about it.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

No pics of them, but my first WHIFs where about 1991, when I read Red Storm Rising.  I ended up doing a T-45 with a Harrier gun pod and sidewinders, and I also did a Gripen JAS-39A in 171st FS hand painted colors.  I know I've got pics of the Gripen somewhere, but the T-45 has been lost to history.

The first one I remember building was a Bf 109 with the radial engine from a French fighter. No pics of that one, it was built in the early 1970's. Even back in those days I would often change the camouflage or makings on my models different from the kit instructions. ;)
