New camera, first aviation pic: C-130

Picked up a GE X5 last week - real nice "bridge" camera for keeping handy; today was the first really decent day weatherwise since, and the 911th AW was kind enough to oblige with a C-130 doing touch and goes for an hour or so this afternoon.

I'm still getting used to the switchology and menus, and I managed to shoot with the wrong settings for the autofocus, so a gray Herk against an overcast sky resulted in a less than optimal image. But the 15x zoom is great, and I have no doubts better results will come as I get the hang of this new system...this was shot from the front yard, so I should be able to get more usable shots from home plate now...
