Ground Crew Figure Query

Hey Guys,Remember i Mentioned Planning to do a Dio with Sound FX? i was Thinking about having some Ground & Flight Crew Figures look like they Were Responding to an Alert. Can Anyone Recommend a Good Brand for purchasing Figures from? i'm Thinking either 1/48,1/71, or What Ever scale is Easiest to purchase. Also,i would Like Modern Era or What Ever looks Best. Thanks for looking.Dan

Italeri do NATO pilots and ground crew in 1:72 and 1:48. Airfix do WW2 pilots and crew from the RAF, Luftwaffe, USAAF in 1:72. There are others as well I'm sure. You could also use figures for model railway setups - I think the company is Preiser?

Preiser it is.  Hasegawa also do an excellent line of US crew in 72nd & also 48th too I believe.  I also seem to recall some Russian or other Eastern Euro company doing Warpac type crew as well.

Preiser actually do military figures, including aircrew, in 1/72nd (maybe other scales too) as well. Always worth having a look at the railway world, because they have an astounding collection of "normal" little things that can really make a diorama. Always be careful to check the scale though: there's a good guide to railway scales/gauges on Wikipedia.

Preiser do an awfull lot of scales which are tied in with European Railway scales as well as the more common military scales, so yes as Weaver says be very carefull when buying to check the scale first.
