Rescue Boat/Lifeboat Model Query

Hey guys, a Question just struck me:Are There Any Good Models of Rescue/Lifeboats Available? i Think sometimes about Groups like the U.S.Coast Guard, the RNLI,Etc. And Sometime Get the Urge to Build Models of some of the Craft, Cany Anyone point me to a Good place to find Some,Please? I'm thinking more like for Display,but if there is Somewhere i could find Plans for making an RC model, that would work Too. Thanks for looking.Dan

RoG also do a couple of very nice German Coastguard Rescue cutters. Apparently they're excellent kits. I've read that the Airfix Severn class is a bit of a handful to get together, perhaps the Revell one would be more, erm, 'easily persuaded'

R/C lifeboats are almost an obession amongst the UK boat modelling fraternity! See here :-

There are LOADS of plans available, as well as umpteen kits, but of course most are of UK types. The RNLI Waveny class was based on a USCG lifeboat and I believe that Dumas make a kit of that boat still.

The Frog kit was a 1960s vintage RNLI Watson boat, and it was a magic kit as you say. Nice that it's still around.

Airfix also do an RAF Rescue Launch. Not quite a lifeboat, but similar and easily altered.
