No, not a Ju 88G or Bf 110G-4, instead its the Revell 1/8th scale Dracula kit that was finished earlier today.

This kit was built O.O.B. but I only used one of the two bats included and elected not to use the stupid looking spider on the base. Sometimes less is more.

Fantastic bit of modelling you've got there!

Thanks sturmvogel and Captain Canada!

I am not sure if this was intended to be Bela Lugosi or not, the sculptor did not really capture the look of Lugosi very well. I have seen newer and better kits on the market that really do look like Lugosi and when I can afford one I might give it a try.

My Dracula figure may not look that much like Bela but he does look rather scary...something that can't be said of the Twilight vampires.

Besides Lugosi there is one other movie vampire that really looks the part and thats the actor that played the vampire in the Roman Polanski film ''Fearless Vampire Killers''.

Thanks for looking pyro-maniac!

Now that this figure is done I will try and tackle another type of model that is strange to me...an armor kit.

I do like old Vlad, very good job!  I've always fancied figure painting and never quite picked up the courage.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Exceptional work! A real work of art in my books.

matrixone

Thank you aerofan!

This type of model was fun to build for a change of pace and this might not be the last figure model from me, another modeler has contacted me and is giving me an old Mummy kit to build as long as I post pics of the finished model. Its an offer I CAN'T refuse! ;D

Sticky Fingers

Looks creepy, haha! What colours did you use for the black on the cape?

matrixone

Thanks Sticky Fingers!
For Dracula's cape I used semi-gloss black mixed from Testors flat black and Testors gloss black, I did lighten the color a tiny bit and airbrushed the highlights of the cape and when that was done I used black paint mixed with some red and sprayed in all the creases and recessed areas of the cape to make them look a little darker.
Dracula's suit was airbrushed flat black, I wanted his clothes to be as matt looking as possible.
