I posted this in the Far East thread, but I thought it might get a little more attention if it had its own space:

Weapons of Choice

This is a new novel, the first of a trilogy entitled the Axis of Time.

The gist of it is, an accident involving wormholes shifts a 21st Century UN naval force back to 1942, just before the Battle of Midway.  They are instantly involved in combat with US forces, with disastrous results for both sides, and one ship is separated from the rest and falls into Japanese hands.

It has shades of Harry Turtledove's The Guns of the South, with a measure of Tom Clancy technothriller thrown in.  Come payday, I'll be looking for it.
