Armored trains? Railway Guns?

I went with HO scale (1/87) for my uparmored WHIF train build as a Rhodesian combat support train. HO greatly increased the options for the rail cars, but made sourcing the vehicles harder (and more expensive).  This was for the WHIF Africa group build.

Hornby did a 'Military Zone' and 'Combat Zone' in OO scale with flat bed trucks a diesel or tank loco. The Combat Zone had a fortress with missiles and a crane, you got some soldiers, 4 x Humvee type vehicles and 4 x tanks and a play mat with sand bags.
I was going to repaint the kit but my nephew liked it so much, I gave it to him for a Christmas present.
