I remember the question being asked 'how do I make my photos smaller?' and I have seen plenty of photos which stretch off the side of the page forcing scrolling. So here's a nifty little trick I picked up for quick free photo resizing with out the requirement to have high end graphics gear or know much at all.

First off, download IfranView. It's free, it's small and it's rather nifty.
Next download your pictures from the camera.
Open Ifranview.
Go to File>Batch Conversion/Rename.
In this window you can find and select the photos you want to use. If your camera is like mine, it always makes a new folder when you download photos, so you can just navigate to that and click 'add all.'
On the left is a panel marked 'Batch Conversion Settings.' Tick the 'Use advanced options' tickbox, then click on the 'Advanced' button.
Tick the 'New Size' tickbox, and enter the size you want. 800X600 is about normal.
Under the 'miscellaneous' heading on the right, tick 'overwrite existing files'
Click OK, and back on the main screen, click on 'Use current (look in) directory) on the left to tell it where to save the photos.
Click START BATCH
This will take a few seconds, and you are good to go.

This may sound like a lot - but Ifranview remembers your settings, so next time all you do is load the photos, tell it where to put them and click START BATCH.
What is more, you can actually save your settings as a file, so if you have various different requirements (say you want some photos 800X600, but others only need to be 400X300) you can save both sets of settings and just load the ones you want to use at the time.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.
