And here was the other thing I've been working on, a miniature for my best friend's PC in my superhero game!

The character is called Bouncing Babe, and she's pretty much a stretching/grappling dynamo!  She can distort her shape, make big poundy fists, all the good stuff.  So since that was not going to be an easy off the shelf figure, I started cutting up heroclix.  I used a Mister Fantastic, a Manhunter, and a Plastic Man to get the final fig.  I'm really pleased with how she turned out, but apparently I missed the brief where the costume was supposed to be purple....

Whoops.

Fortunately the player still thinks the mini is cool.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks guys!  I just got in a slew of Reaper miniatures superheroes because I was lucky enough to win second place in a make a super person contest.  It's an impressive lot of 12 minis, and I hope to be able to do them justice.

All good, Bouncing Babe is fantastic!  Could you give her an ink wash to give her more of a purple hue?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I may just honestly repaint her.  I've been pondering it, but in additonal honesty, my painting/building speed is glacial at nest currently, so it'll probably be a year before I do anything about it.  ;)

I had to join just to ask where Big Nikel came from.  Love them all but that may be favorite.

Thanks!  He's one of my favorites too, just an awesome figure.  He's from Scott Pyle's Superfigs collection.  Still available from here: http://oldglory25s.com/index.php?cat_id=546&catname=%27SuperFigs%2028mm%20Super%20Heroes%27

And IMHO, staggeringly cheap for today's market.  I've heard some complaints about the detail, but I think they are pretty good.
