Hey Guys, an Idea just Came to me:What If the Russians used the TU-22 as the Basis for a Carrier Based Strike Fighter? the Idea just Came to me,made me also Think about the TU-22 in a 'Gerry Anderson' light! What say You? Thanks for Looking.Dan

Well, it's way too big to be honest. You might (might) be able to ZELL a Tu-22 given a big enough rocket motor, but The things weigh a huge amount, and you wouldn't reasonably be able to get a carrier big enough to carry more than one or two.

However, a scale-o-rama of the Tu-22, say using a 1:144 scale model as a 1:72 fighter, might be pretty cool.

I hope not, seeing the Tu-22 operate off a massive carrier is too cool to wish against!  :cheers:
