Hey folks here's my first post, I bought this very old Revell Phantom for $10.00 less the decal sheet.
And thought it would look great in a what if WW2 RAAF Scheme......
I achieved the bare metal finish by using testors with a brush.....
If interested here is the tip on how to do it....http://www.essmc.org.au/Natural_Metal_Finish.html

cheers and i hope you like Phil :-)

Talk about a ridiculously easy way to do an NMF finish!  You should post that link up in the "tips and tricks" section of the board.  Great entrance and great Phantom!!!!   Can't wait to see the finished bird.

Someday, I'm going to marry a model this pretty.   Garsh, what an entrance.  Can't wait to try out Peter's NMF tip, too!  Thanks for sharing (both), Phil.

Welcome aboard!!!!

Lovely finish you've got there.  The F-4 looks pretty no matter how she's done.

Backstory involves a "Final Countdown" moment gone wrong, I assume  ;D ;D
