Hey Guys, an Idea just came to Me! What If the CH-46 or CH-47 were used as the basis for a Disaster Response Helijet? i got the idea fromwatching a lot of Thunderbirds Episodes & also because the 46 & 47 are Such Cool but Useful Workhorse Helicopters.   what do you think? would it work? what say you? Thanks for looking. Dan

In Thuderbirds stylee it's a natural. Just replace the rotors with two stub wings with engines or fans on the end.

You could use back-to-back Evil Mushroom lift fans to make them:

That's what I bought their lift fans for last year!  ;D Probably going to use my Airfix CH-46 wreck unless I can get something else cheap.

If you want a less recognisable base model, try a VEB Plasticart Yak-24. Even though it's 1/100th scale, it's still big enough to credibly scaleorama to 1/72nd.
