I think Martin has said he cleaned up one of Igor's subjects and recast it and it came out quite good.
true, I did. I was very tempted to send a copy back to Igor just to show what his stuff can look like if he used decent materials.
His masters are excellent, but he is let down by the use of low quality materials.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

For quite the while, Igor's stuff was what you had to put up with if you were after some of the more... esoteric... subjects.

These days?  Not so much.

And also these days, the quality of his competition is beyond outstanding.  You folks seen "Prop & Jets" kits?  They almost seem a sin to actually make a finished model from them as they are so beautifully cast, accurately moulded, and superbly well designed.  And his resin looks and feels more like lovingly done high temperature, high pressure injected styrene rendered in highly polished steel molds.  And yes, he hails from "over there" as well.  Igor's stuff - even his current renderings - look gawd awful in comparison.  And Prop & Jets kits are cheaper, on average, than what Igor is flogging his for.
Wherever you go, there you are!
