Jet P-47: Fran from the 395th FS!!!

Stage 3: Alright vectors done! Now back to Paint.NET to fill in all the colours! I started by "making" the glass of the cockpit followed by the cockpit colours and the associated high lights and low lights.

The next step was to bring some colour to the jet exahust to which I added heat staining and the exhaust high lights and low lights. I've also tried to mimick the dents left by the riviting process by adding a slightly blurred high light displaced 1 px up and left followed by a low light displaced 1 px down and right.

The final bit of work for today was getting the base for the NMF done. I achieved this by colouring the airframe a light grey and in a new level flood filled with metal texture with the opacity adjusted. Tonal differences where further brought out by colour some panles white and other black and adjusting the opacities.

Well the first profile is done! I've always loved how Expected Goose looked as a P-47N and there was no doubt that this would be the first of the jets.

The pin up took about 3 hours to get right. Who knew drawing boobs could be so hard?? Anyhoo I hope you like her, expect some more nose arted brutes soon!
