A few more goodies taken at Edinburgh over the years. The Trans Brazil Boeing 767-300ER had just completed the longest ever (at the time) non stop flight to Edinburgh - 5900 miles from Sao Paulo. The Boeing 707 was a real good catch!! The registration cannot be made out in the photo but, it's Moroccan! All photos taken with my trusty old Canon AE-1. ( remember 35mm film anyone??) ;D
Loves JMNs but could never eat a whole one!!

I do remember 35mm film, and I still have my AE1 body.

Those are some fantastic shots. Please, please, please share more!

(Especially Caravelles. Love me the Caravelle. )

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

 Anything to oblige!! I believe I have more Caravelle shots. These 2 both arrived over the same weekend bringing French rugby supporters for the 6 nations match at Murrayfield. I think we actually had 3 in over that particular weekend - as well as a Belair Ile de France 727-200, an Air Toulouse 727-200 an Air Outre Mer DC-10......................................!!!!! ;D

I've since gone Digital & I now use a Canon EOS 350D. My partner now has the AE-1 (  ;D  ;D I SOLD it to her!! Too good a camera to GIVE away!!)

It is indeed. Specifically it's "ZE433", used first for Foxhunter radar trials and later for tests of the Typhoon's radar system.

It was a fairly regular visitor. The radar was actually manufactured in Edinburgh by Ferranti ( now BAE systems or whatever they call themselves now!!)

I kind of miss the old flim days - especially when you are frantically trying to get your camera reloaded just as that F-111 does a "dump & burn" flypast at Fairford!!! :banghead: Yes, that happened to me!!. My language was fairly explicit.............!!! ( got it the next day!!). Now of course I can get 900 photos on one  battery charge!!!! Sign of the times I guess!!
