I wasn't a big fan of the pointy prototype nose on the Rafael

A job I often hate. For some reason many models have undercarriage doors that look okay when they're down, but when you try to go 'wheels up' you find that they don't bear even a passing relationship to the shape of the hole they're supposed to fill. Looks like you did a great job!

Once I learned the rod glued to the door trick, things got alot easier !

There wasn't one of those cool looking tanks for the centreline, so I fabbed one up. Also modding a pair of 48th scale Genies to be the outer wing tanks.

Dug thru my spares box for the longest time and came up with nothing.....then I was looking thru the Hasegawa weapons set for a suitable missile, and voila ! Found it ! A piece of sprue holding the parts on......now acting as the spinner on my buddy refueling pod.



Another problem with the prototype model being built in service....



Break out the trusty razor saw......and a little piece of styrene...
