The Huey arrived this week, in good shape (no thanks to the mailman [1]). Thanks for the gift, I'm looking forward to building it.

1: I wasn't home when the package was delivered, so they tossed it through an open window (one of those small ventilation slots above the 'normal' windows). The crash landing from a height of about 2 m didn't do much damage thanks to good packaging. Some of the parts were knocked loose from their sprues, though.
Good thing the package was light, or it would have damaged the old (possibly historic) balsa wood R/C airplane that sits below the window...
Needless to say I'm not pleased with the way the local mail company is treating my mail. Two previous packages (valued at over $100 each) were left outside the door. Protocol for 'addressee isn't home' situations says the package should be returned to the nearest post office, where I can pick it up at my convenience.

Got mine yestersay as well and the government kindly opend it for me to check and see if Osama was inside.

Funny thing is, other than a contract for 20 Titanics a few years back, I've never built a ship before. I started looking at the thing with notions of conversion to a space ship of some sort.
I'm lloking forward to the challange.

I'm happy to hear you received your prizes safely.

Mail service varies everywhere.  <_< My delivery is reliable but late, as I am the very last house on the route. This is because the mailman lives on my street, so I know where to find him if there's a problem.  ^_^

A spaceship, eh? I never would have thought of that, and can't wait to see it.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
