This has to be the smallest plane I've ever made.



The fact that this was a Harrier will be hidden when it's attached to the Herculesses; you won't see the canopy that gives it all away. You probably won't even notice there's a plane dangling between the fuselages anyway, but, hey ho.

Agreed, but on something that small it should be subtle, so do what I do, pre-shade with clear varnish.

Yes indeed, one used to appear at UK shows 5-6 years ago, and I think Ms. Lindsey Mumford built it. It was carried around on the roof of quite a small car, VW Polo size or thereabouts. Quite what the other traffic thought has not been recorded...

How did she manage that? Inside a rooftop box I presume? Can't imagine a model surviving a trip like that if unprotected.

Nope, the C-5Z sat on a special roof rack and was held down by some bungees with the outer wings/engines un-plugged! I can't remember seeing it 100% finished, but they showed it during the build at the Salisbury Show a couple of years running.
