As I understood the quote, the guy meant something closer to the complete package of F-104, range and marketability included.

Well I could - if I weren't so cack-handed at modelling: I wanted something I could basically slap together with minimal work.

Auugh! Do you know how much sweat I put into coming up with something typically naff and in-periodish for a British project of the '50s/ '60s?

I hope this is taken in the spirit it's intended, and not seen as simply bashing your work - it's a really interesting design.

No problem, it's giving me ideas for further madness (as are all of the responses *, thanks guys).

Great design Mr C - it shows the thinking prevalent in the 50s/60s.  IMHO the name should reflect the manufacturer:  Hawker - Hurricane, Hunter, Supermarine - Spitfire, Swift, Bristol - Beaufort, Brigand.
