New(?) Tu-134 kit in 1/144th with, by the looks of it, optional glass or solid noses:

Ouch. Twenty quid for 1/144. The old Plasticart 1/100 one can be had for less than that, and it's pretty accurate (apart from having razor-sharp raised panel lines).

Indeed, but it IS 1/100 scale and if your thing is scale consistancy it's about as much use as golf ball on an ocean going yacht....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
