Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get the ski kit for the Lockheed P-2V Neptune.
I know DJ Parkins do the resin kit to build the LC-130, ski version of the Herc and Revell/Monogram did their own version of the P2v with skis but at $145 its a bit too steep for me.
If it comes down to it I'll buy a float plane and whiff the floats.

Skis are actually pretty easy to scratch -- there's no complex curves or anything. Basically just get the dimensions and some plastic card and you're off. I've done it for several models (CH-54 Tahre, a Blackhawk, and I'm thinking of doing some for the Hobbycraft Dash-8 I have in the stash). If they're for the Orion, best to make some yourself so you can get the visual scale right.

But if you're absolutely set on getting some, the old 1/72 ESCI R4D-2 Skytrain kit has a pair of maingear skis. Easy enough to find on Ebay.
