Seeing the upsurge in scifi projects based on artwork, I thought someone here might want to see this:

I've often wondered if Christopher F. Foss the artist was the same person as Christopher F. Foss the Editor of Jane's Defence Weekly?  ;)

... and was/is he the same Chris Foss who designs and produces R/C models too?

Mmm, the mystery deepens.   Prolific family the Foss family it seems although they appear singularly lacking in imagination when it comes to naming their offspring.   Unless they are clones....

I used to fly with the radio flying Chriss Foss back in the 70s and he was in his teens then as I recall. I can't remember him mentioning any SF stuff at the time, but then I didn't go on about Moulton bikes when I was flying either.  ;D

I love this guy's work. I have a book called The Chris Foss Portfolio, published by Paper Tiger, that I purchased back in the early '90s but I'll definitely have to add this new volume to my library as well.
Some clever and amusing quote goes here.

My LHS is selling a near-complete set of Starblazers/Yamato mini-ships.
I grabbed a few, and this one has Foss written all over it!   ;D

I think Foss' work is great for bringing the sheer scale of a machine to life.

Most of the ships he's painted have that look that they're so emense it will take forever for one to go past you.
