...or nose art names, more likely, for a project involving a display of models with various female names. Can anyone provide references (make, model, conflict -- links would be great, but I'm OK with doing my own legwork) to aircraft bearing any of the following names:

Brenda, Nancy, Cindy, Lee Anne, Amie, Paula, Tonya

beowulf

well....2 minutes of googling brought up plenty of pics with nose art with most of those names.......you might want to try that
.............hes a very naughty boy!
allergic to aircraft in grey!
The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time........Bertrand Russell
I have come up with a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel. ......Edmund Blackadder

If this project is to impress your GFs I'm SERIOUSLY impressed!  ;D

When do you find time for modelling?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Beowulf, I've looked for way over 2 minutes, but my thoughts of a search phrase ("Planes named amie" "planes with girls names") hasn't worked out. Understand, I've gone through a lot of lists of nose art (and sites....and books...) and not found these particular names.

PR19_Kit, it's my thought to "represent" via a display the "work" of a lifetime...in a way my present GF finds both acceptable and amusing (for which read, silly). No man could hang pictures of his "conquests"...but a few little model planea with girls' names (or a historical nose art image) on 'em? Or (even better...from her perspective) various WWII fighters whose ID names happened to have been girls'...

That's a neat idea, and pleasurable to do as well. Best of luck with your search.

I did one for a now former GF about 15 years ago. She liked the looks of the P-38 & the P-38 reminded me of her, (just think the 2 big ol' prop spinners make me think of her...... :) ). Anyway, I threw a 1/48 Revelogram kit together, found a nose art of a barely clad girl reading a book & the girl was wearing glasses even (don't recall its original a/c) (GF was a librarian, BTW, hence glasses & reading a book) & hand painted her nickname above it. She thought it was cool & had it on her desk at work.
