i guess everyone knows the famous Kinder Surprise chocolat eggs right  ;D
if you havent, then you've been living in a cave

i remember everytime we had a good reportcard from school, mom and dad would buy us each an egg,.....
let me just skip the nostalgia and get straight to the point.
i remember that some of the eggs had these little kitplanes in them (Beech baron, cessna's,...) and roughly they were about 1/144 to 1/200 scale (C-130's were about 1/400 i think)

has anyone ever thought of the whiff pottential of these little childrens toys (if i can call it that)
for the ridiculously low price, some spare parts and a bit of modeling knowhow, i think they can be a nice alternative to resinkits, that is if your lucky enough to find the right egg, and if not, the canisters can be great fodder for eggplanes and HOGG memorial builds  ;D

here's a few exsamples, im gonna let you guys do the math.
im gonna try to look for cessna kits on rummage sales, they make great 1/144 trainer aircraft

what are you waiting for, get out your rusty small change and get some

I've never heard of these.  I was surprised to read that they're banned from being imported to this country, because of a law against putting "non-nutritive" items inside of candy confections.  Apparently a woman was driving back into the States from Canada last year and had one seized, lest she face a $300 fine.  She had no idea there was a ban on the things.

They're just about everywhere here. There's a huge rack of them next to nearly every cash register in town, seems like.

BTW, anyone notice that in the last pic, the blue "S-6B"-looking floatplane has Air Canada roundels? Heh.
