Any one done anything on markings for an independent California Republic [Republic of California]?

Same general concept as the Australian/Canadian/NZ roundels, but with a bear in the center instead of the kangaroo/maple leaf/kiwi?

Maybe something more like the South Korean marking, a yin-yang theme.

The logo of the California Air National Guard HQ might also be a point of departure, as would the California Republic flag itself:
