I  don't know about you, but when I build something from a movie/ book of TV show I want to build that model as close to the one in front of me....as possible. So, the first thing I do is set up a plan. Watching the image on the DVD freeze framing and working out the details is the only way to get it the exact shape and to detail it. If it is something from a book/comic...well someone has already done the job for you and all you have to do is work out a plan/ side elevation/ front and back as you are in front.
This page is for that.....if you make a space craft of your own design, and others say they would like to build it, give them that choise, make up the plans.
Enclosed are plans for the Dan Dare space ship 'Anastasia' from the old Eagle Magazine. I think 'Annie' was in the very first story, 1950 and was still flying well into the 1980's.
So, MEKON, if you're out there........enjoy!

The hell with the Mekon, I LOVE it!

'Anastasia' has always been my fave space-ship, even today, and I'd love to model her, but 3-view drawings, plans etc. have always been few and far between. Which raises the question, WHERE did you find those drawings Glenn, and what scale are they? Did you draw them yourself and if so, what did you use for scource data?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Sorry for the delay, but with  'Annie', my memory of her goes back to around 1952 when mum bought me my first Eagle magazine. In the 1990's Hawk books brought out the Dan Dare stories illustrated by Frank Hampson and I was hooked! The first DD book I bought was a special, green cover, (all Hawk books are hard cover) and in the centre a 'cut-away' illustration of Annie, inside and out.
I actually built a model of her  in 1/35 sc. with a full interior. The plans were easy, as I had so many drawings of most of the DD ships.......
Anyhow, today this goes back to the 1965 series of Dr. Who "The Rescue" with Ian, Barbara and Vicki and the first Doctor.
