New injection PC-9 in 1/72nd, now in at Hannants in three different versions:

These are used by LOADS more air forces than this and the whif possibilities in swapping them for RW Tucanos, A-37s etc, are legion.

Do the RAF REALLY have PC-9s or is the second one a 'Whiff-in-a-box'?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

As far as I'm aware it's one of the privatised agencies Kit. Flown in RAF colours like the Alpha Jets etc
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The RAF only ever flew one PC-9, ZK119 as depicted in the kit. Just who operated it I do not know, but it was an ex RSAF aircraft and was returned to Saudi Arabia in 2012.

I think it belongs to BAE: it showed up at Woodford to do the aerial photography for the first Nimrod MRA.4 takeoff.

It nearly added more drama to the occasion than required actually. The Woodford perimeter is a fairly odd shape and in particular there's a residential area, with some tall trees, that sticks out some way into the airfield area. The plan was that the PC-9 would fly parallel to the runway as the Nimrod set off, so they had a couple of practice runs first to get the timings right. On the first practice run, the pilot was obviously looking sideways rather than forwards, so the conversation amongst the staff (who were all stood outside watching this) went something like:

"Tree."
"Tree mate.."
"Oi! Tree!"
"TREE!!! "
"BLOODY HELL!!!"

The latter as the PC-9 pilot suddenly slammed on power and popped up over the tree in a 45 deg climb. Needless to say, his second practice run was a tad higher than the first.... ;D
