  One theme that I built was a what-if USAAF and later USAF where flying wing designs for bombers predominated from about 1928 onwards to today. To accomplish this, I concentrated on about ten iconic designs, the B-10, 15, 17, 24, 47, 52, XB-70, B-1 plus the YB-49 and the B-2. For the B-10, I wanted something to show those "yellow wings" designs with 1930's colors and opted for a twin engine design with engines in the pusher position but tractor props and fixed spatted landing gear. This is a 1/144 model , most of my efforts are, and was using wings from a scrapped 1/72 B-24 and some reworked DC-3 engines, the PW Wasp in pods made of some WW1 plane bits.

RussC, with fixed SPATTED landing gear you'll go far with BriandaBasher for sure!  :thumbsup:

Your overall idea for a theme is magnificent, and the stuff that we've already seen is superb too. More power to your elbow, and fingers and toes too of course.  ;D :lol:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
