The half-built Brabazon Mk II would have had eight Proteus in coupled pairs if it had been completed.

While that's true, I'm just pointing out what Bristol were intending to do with the Mk II. The Mk I needed more power to be practical according to most of the references.

But I did see and hear the Mk 1 at Farnborough. Just as with the Saro Princess it felt as if the world had stopped  moving as the MONSTER aeroplanes cruised by!
