Always used to get Warlord myself. That had a few whiffy idea in it: I remember a series featuring a despatch bike with twin bazookas mounted on it!  :o Also, in the wake of the Falklands, they ran a long series called "Harrier Squadron" which was set in politically unreal WWIII. IIRC, they ended up flying from the cargo holds of a converted Japanese cargo ship and attacking pacific islands held by the generic bad guys who DEFINATELY wern't Russians, but who flew MiG-23s....

I also used to get Warlord as well, right from the first issue that had the medals collection in it over parts 1 +2.  I used to love 'Harrier Squadron, I also liked Lord Peter Flinrt as well and his constant personal battle wioth his Abwher counterpart who's name I can't remember.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Yeap i used to get warlord too, we actually did Harrier squadron GR3s a couple of years ago as we found a couple of suitable annuals. Favoured stories i liked were Cassidy, Drake of E-Boat Alley, Iron Annie, and Kampfgruop Falken, but i suspect part of that was the generally the qualify of the artwork as well as the story line.

Commando's still being printed?!  I bet I can't find them in the States though.  Fond memories.

There's a few compilations released recently Tom, you should be able to get them through Amazon US.  There's a fiftieth anniversary volume that's available in the UK now as well, quick check on Amazon.com shows it should be available in the US sometime soon.

Didn't get them myself, but I used to swap my Beano's for my mates copies & also grab bags full when dragged to the dreaded jumble sale by my mother.  Got my brother a couple of the compilations as he used to read them & loves graphic novels although he was surprisingly unappreciative, I think they're kind of 'below' his current tastes.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
