Found this a few days back:

That is still an astonishingly beautiful car!

Ooooh yes, the F-Type!

What a car that was, they tested a couple of body shells on the seat belt anchorage rig that my firm supplied at Jaguar R&D at Whitley and while the coupe passed with flying colours the drophead failed first time around. They had to increase the strength of the upper rear anchorages and that increased the weight by quite a bit, and they were already over the designed limit by then.

I went to lunch in one of the dropheads once ;D as a passenger, not drivng, but we only went about 2 miles and left it in the pub car park. No-one gave it a second look, it seems it was well known around there!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Ooh, nice!

I hadn't seen this one before; Jaguar has made numerous attempts at an E-type successor over the years.
