Ok, with quite a bit of interest circulating around the idea of a "Time Warp Group Build", where you paint the aircraft/tank/ship in a scheme from a different era to that in which it operated.

Some Rules (Can be added or subtracted)
1. Must be painted in a scheme from a different era. ie: An F-22 in a WW2 RAF DkGreen/DkBrown/Sky scheme, or a Sopwith Camel in Gulf War markings. Something like a C-130, cannot be made as a Vietnam aircraft, even if it is a -J model you are building, but it could be painted up as a WW2, Spanish Civil War, WW1 etc.
2. It must carry the markings of the other era, ie: The F-22 must carry RAF roundels and squadron markings etc, not it's own Stars 'n' Bars.
3. I think builds in all stages of completion (before painting obviously) should be allowed, because this isn't a GB, it's a TB.
4. There'll be a poll (if I can figure it out) with all of the completed builds, whether they were primed at the start, or in a box, this is about the creativity and how well the scheme fits the aircraft. There may be a small prize (Decals or something) to the "winner". This allows people to
a) Finish something
b) Have some friendly competition

If you are interested, feel free to post your interest down below! I'll link this to the other thread  ;D

Oh yes, I do like this and will surely enter, but it will be a totally new build in my case, the model I have in mind is still in its box.  ;D

What's the start and end dates please, if there are any?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Another question, do the original kits have to be OOB or can we Whiff them before starting the painting?

Well if it's a twin spitty, it means it must be painted up as a non ww2 era plane, or a pr meteor, it can't be an early jet scheme. But i think it will be better to have all oob, though scratchbuilt (to a certain degree) will be allowed

Roger that, thanks. That gives me two ideas to work on without trying too hard......

Maybe three!  ;D
