I'm looking for a 1/72 meteor preferably single seater as no where local seems to have one or a 1/72 U-2 that i need the wings from to build my PR-19D. Let me know if you can help and we can arrange a deal. Would like a complete meteor but the wings can be any condition as long as they're reasonably useable.

As you appear to be in the UK, a quick search on Hannants' website reveals this lot;

http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php?product_category_id=&product_division_id=&manufacturer_id=&code=&product_type_id=all_aircraft_kits&scale_id=956&keyword_search=Meteor&setPerPage=25

And for second hand kits, a search on Kingkit reveals they have a bunch quite a bit cheaper
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

You want a single seater???

Most PR19s were two seaters, and mine are made from the Matchbox NF11-12-14 kit, which although crude can be mixed and matched nicely. I have lots of them (what a surprise...  ;D) and a few U-2s as well, both Airfix and MPC versions.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

WARNING, THREAD DRIFT

I suppose that, being an erudite group, ladies and gentlemen of this fraternity are already aware that the Classical Greek   word "METEORA"   is usually translated as either as  " at a great height"  or occasionally  " suspended high in the firmament"   .      Classical Greek does not, however,  have anything to say about the   code PR19.
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

Ha! Magic!  ;D

I never did know that, but how appropriate? I never did do Greek at school, in fact I achieved a school record in Classics for getting the LOWEST possible mark in Latin Mock 'O' Levels. Latin-Engish : 1, English-Latin : 0, Average : 0.5!  ;D
