Sure, shooting brakes/breaks aren't common but the term is still in use for two-door estates.

Does anyone make a two door estate any more though?

I do like the concept, and I even owned one for a good many years, but I'm not sure if there are any still left in production.

Mercedes have just announced a shooting brake version of their CLS. Other than that, I can't think of any offhand. Pity, cause I might be interested in one.

Nice Vauxhall, by the way.

Thanks, that's a Sports Hatch, one of only 197 made in the 70s. Sadly mine was squashed totally flat by a BIG tree in '87 or so, and had to be scrapped. I still have the engine/gearbox though.

Holden have just announced a 2-door hatch version of their "Cruise" sedan -- only 30yrs after Opel did the same :-\
Just replace the hatch with a suitably bigger door (fiber-glass?) with roof-line, side-panel windows and you have an "Estate".

Does anyone make fiber-glass panels to turn an MX-5 into a MGB-GT-clone ???
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

I'm not sick ... just a little unwell.

Mitsouka almost certainly does something along those lines, and gives it an  outrageous engrish name into the bargin.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.
