Wanted. AMT F-16 single seat canopy. Yep, I know.

I know this is a big big longshot here, but..........
I have a 1/72nd scale AMT F-16 that came as part of a thunderbirds box set, and the canopy is missing. I have one spare single seater canopy from an Italeri, but it won't fit the AMT one unfortunately. Does anyone have one going spare?

Hello again Robert,
I can't say yes or no about that one, as the Italeri one won't fit. If anyone has both an Italeri and a fujimi one in their stashes, maybe thyey could cross that one off by having a look at both. I think I will be on a hiding to nothing with it and will probably end up sending it to the parts bin.

I have some suggestions mate:

1#  Make a wooden form in the shape of the canopy, or a different shape if you wish, then cut out some sections of coke bottle, large enough to hold over a candle without burning yourself, and heatsmash a canopy.

2#  Make a 'virtual cockpit' similar to the C.O.F.F.I.N. system in some Ace Combat game aircraft - when closed up, the cockpit is seamlessly part of the airframe.

3#  I think it's been done with a -16, a drone fighter.
