Visited the 6th DPMV Konvent on Sunday. DPMV is kinda the German equivalent to the IPMS (although there's an German IPMS, too) and the Konvent is their version of the Nationals. On a MUCH smaller scale, though. Here's what I found in the way of whifs, but I included some cool real-world stuff, too.

Starting off with images of this year's DPMV Gemeinschaftsprojekt (community project): take a Revell StarWars EasyKit pocket Jedi Fighter and let your imagination run wild!
Some really cool builds came out of this. Last year's project was the Revellobox 1/72 Do 28.

^ Translation: "Scottish Modelling - buy one, build two!" Clever use of a mirror resulted in two models for the price of one!

^ The blurb on the display translates to: "I looked at the rules closely many times. And I AM allowed to attach a bomb!"  :P

^ French Iron Sky - Ciel de Fer?

Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

But, wait, there's more...

^ Strikemaster trialling Harpoon!

^ Okay, not really a whif, but soooo beautiful!

^ Some of Diethelm Berlage's Marder projects. On the left a Marder with Barracuda netting, in the middle a proposal (not realized) for an SPAAG on a Marder basis and on the right in the background the "referee tank" of a gunnery range.

Cheers,
Moritz

Some assorted real world stuff!

Some cool presentation ideas:

^ Thought this one was really cool!

That's it! I'm quite surprised how well my little Samsung Point'n'Shoot fared under these lighting conditions.
Cheers,
Moritz

Some great stuff there, thanks for posting. Nice humour as well especially like the "Scottish" modelling  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Looks like it was a class show (Klasse Messe? Klasse Ausstellung?)

I loved the Stanford-Tuck coded Jedi fighter, compelte with Sky band too!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Excellent photo's. Some impressive imagination put into the jedi starfighter builds, but I was most impressed by the pair of Jet Proverst's; especially the nightfighter version.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die
