Surely you can hear a Bear coming before you pick it up on radar?

I think you'll find it's easier to hear after its gone past than hear it approaching...

That's true with most aircraft but the TU 95 is so noisy you'll hear it coming before the flight plan is filed.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

When the first Tu-95 to land in the UK arrived at the RIAT Show at Fairford in 199something it came in from the North East at around 1500 ft with a Torndao F3 almost glued to each wing tip. We could certainly hear the Bear over the sound of the Tornadoes and I suspect we could hear it before we saw them too, even if it was on a subliminal level. Everyone was looking in the correct direction before the trio hove into sight....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

hmm if you listen to the latest episode of news quiz extra on BBC Radio 4 extra at about 35 to 38 minutes in you will hear an interesting gag about these interceptions.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b053hbbb and go to listen again for episode 1 of 7, series 13

I am not sure if everyone can get the BBC radio i-player, but phill jupitus makes a point about those Russian planes over cornwall - he said I keep thinking the crew were saying 'Ukraine not Uttoxeter'.

please remember that the News Quiz Extra is one of BBC radio's satirical news programmes.
